We at the Point Blank Vol. Fire Department would like to remind everyone that we are entering the summer months. Please remember to drink plenty of water, and try to keep cool. Also if you plan on burning any this summer make sure to burn in a well cleared area. Never burn around trees or near thick brush. Also never burn when there is a BURN BAN in affect. Not only is it dangerous, it is also illegal. If you don't know if there is a burn ban in affect, contact your local fire dept. or your local law enforcement office on thier non-emergency phone number, they will be glad to let you know if there is one. We would like to reemind you that alot of deaths are caused by heat related injuries. We want to keep everyone safe this summer. |
